Drága Barátim!

Sajnos kicsit hosszúra nyúlt ez a kommunikációs szünet, de arról mindenkit biztosíthatok, hogy nekem volt a leghosszabb. Nem mentegetőzésképp (de!) mondom, de tényleg semmire nincs időm, az elmúlt két hétben konkrétan annyi se volt, hogy legalább egy filmet megnézzek, vagy a hűtőben türelmesen váró söröket/bort megkóstoljam. Ez (mármint az időhiány) egyébként nem véletlen, hanem leginkább a tutorial miatt van, ami teljes napokat vesz el az időmből, így aztán épphogy (ha egyáltalán) marad időm a jiddisre tanulni, illetve olvasni a másik órámra, amire már hetek óta illett volna beadni az első esszét (nem mintha bárki is megtette volna), csak hát nem sikerült sort kerítenem rá. Múlt héten még a standard programnak (kikapcsolódásnak) számító modern európai zsidó történelem előadás-sorozatot is kihagytam, nem is beszélve a közel-keleti krízis előadásról. Egyszóval megszorítások vannak, na.
Belátom, hogy (legalábbis egy külső szemlélőnek) dögunalomnak tűnhet az életem, de én ennek ellenére igyekszem élvezni, és azzal nyugtatgatom magam, hogy a következő term lazább lesz. Amúgy a határidők jelentik a legnagyobb izgalmat: nem elég, hogy esszéket kell írnom, lassan itt az ideje, hogy bejelentsem a szakdolgozatom címét, amiről természetesen még fogalmam sincs.
Ami igazán érdekes (és jó), hogy a Dorcit 4 hónap angoltanulás után intermediate csoportba rakták, és már ez is kezd szinten aluli lenni. Ezenkívül kb. 20 órát dolgozik hetente a 3 percre lévő pubban, nem kevés mázlival, mivel Oxfordban mintegy 10 helyre beadott jelentkezést (természetesen mindegyiket alaposan megtűzdelte a nem létező előző munkahelyeinek listájával), de még csak vissza sem hívták sehonnan. Ezzel a 20 órával annyit keres (minimálbér, meg egy halom borravaló, eddig a rekord 6 font/óra), hogy simán megélünk és még a jövőbeni utazgatások keretébe is jut bőven.
Kb. ennyi van velünk, most, ha lehet, még több dolgom lesz, mivel el kell kezdenem a jelentkezéseket intézni, meg készülni a GRE-re, ami kb. egy érettséginek megfelelő teszt, és van benne matek is, úgyhogy 5 év után állhatok neki átismételni a sok sületlenséget, amit rég elfelejtettem.

(remélem amúgy már nem haragszol, tényleg csak irigykedtem a kosztümödre.)

azért az megnyugvásra ad okot hogy minden rendesen megy a maga útján. és minden iciny info-morzsa megbecsülendő, de majd ha megittál egy két sört a hűtőböl, regélj még!

Bizonyám, itt van nekem ez a jó kis Bodleian, de ha kijössz (mert ugyebár nagyon is szívesen vagy látva bármikor, de télleg, szal ha kedved támad kiruccanni, ne fogd vissza magad!) még téged is be tudlak juttatni, aztán lesz nagy irigység otthon a kis könyvtárospalánták körében:) Amúgy a vicc az, hogy az e-katalógusuk (http://library.ox.ac.uk/) botrányosan szar, még a FSZEK-é is jobb (azon lehet nyelv, könyvtár, stb. szerint keresni, ezen nem). Szóval lenne mit fejlődni még, de ez legyen a legnagyobb gondom!
